The Hurricane Katrina forum is now closed as of 9:30 pm CDT Saturday, September 3. This is being done by consensus of the moderators and to meet the wishes of many of our regular members. With this closure, Stormtrack returns to its primary goal of covering key storm chasing and meteorology topics.

* Registered members may continue discussing the meteorogical aspects of Katrina in our Weather & Chasing forum.

* Katrina chase accounts should be posted in our Map Room area. Discussion in those threads will be allowed providing it stays tightly on track (i.e. questions to those who chased).

* Registered users may discuss the relief and emergency management aspects in Bar & Grill. Pure politics will not be allowed, however we will allow posts about the government response providing that the post and any replies are well-written, are not partisan in nature, and cite sources where appropriate. The moderators will determine what posts fail to meet this criteria. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time.

To continue discussion about this topic we also encourage you to check out the links below. Thanks!
