Tim Marshall Editor, STORM TRACK Magazine
|
Putting STORM TRACK Magazine in electronic form has been a dream of mine for many
years. The old paper STORM TRACK masters are deteriorating and the amount of
paper used to make one copy of all issues totals several reams -- not to
mention the hours of time it takes to make such copies. This
project was the way to go. It is convienent, easy to use, and will help
preserve this historic publication well into the next century.
There have
been so many interesting articles submitted by our subscribers and I wanted
to see them last. Many of the articles are timeless and have high
educational value. Improvements over the paper version include better type
for reading and an index to search for the articles you want to find.
Also, many of the black and white photographs in the paper version appear
here in color. So enjoy scanning through the history of storm chasing.
Many thanks to Tim Vasquez who made this project a reality and to David
Hoadley for starting this publication back in 1977. Thanks also go to all
of you who have contributed to STORM TRACK over the years and supported
storm chase efforts!
