Looks like a blue heron...they are a frog's worst nightmare in the spring and summer!!

I agree, it's a Great Blue Heron. Those birds can grow to be very large with extensive wingspans.

If you have a Koi pond, watch it. All of our fish disappeared, and then we seen a rather large Blue Heron the next day (the suspected guilty culprit).

Looks like a Blue Heron or Tri colored Heron or Crane to me.
