Maritime Severe Winter Storm

Being from the prairies it is a bit weird for me to post this but since no one else has mentioned it yet....

The Canadian Maritime Provinces are currently being hammered by an incredible storm. More than 2 feet of snow has apparently fallen in the past 24 hours in most areas. Wind gusts have been reported to be between 45mph(75km/hr) and 90mph(150km/hr). Snow and wind continue at this hour.

Yeah, this thing's a monster. The pressure at the center of the low has been around 980. I haven't been paying that close of attention to it, I just know it's all kinds of fierce.

Hmm, maybe they should issue a "Snow-Nado Watch". I saw it was 97.0kpa at 11pm in Halifax. Is that normal?
