Notice the 2006 forecast threat area is different from what they actually did forecast last year:

This was the article (http://wwwa.accuweather.com/promo-ad.asp?dir=aw&page=hurr2006) from last year, which had the dramatic headline that one in six Americans would be "directly impacted by the hurricane season," and predicted five landfalls, one TS, and five hurricanes, of which three would be major hurricanes. :-) The area marked "low" is where Alberto made landfall.
