Sitting in Irving, TX waiting on initiation. If anything I might be able to further destroy my windshield, which looks to be the most-likely mode of excitement for me. Thinking of heading east a bit to get a little better instability and moisture (though I'm cooking right here). Hopefully this gamble with rush hour DFW traffic will pay off.

BTW - my boss has mobile wirless and offered his laptop to me...so I said "why the hell not?". This hi-tech chasing is work when you're alone :-).

Given the favorable conditions near the TOR Warned Clay Co., AR cell.... this supercell could continue to track ESE and move near Dyersburg, TN...... which was hit by the F3 last April 2nd!

im on the storm near Perryville, Ar (nw of LZK) and it is showing some rotation at cloud base but nothing major yet

The 00Z DFW sounding is thermonuclear (and entirely uncapped)! Not sure if the CAPE was even integrated all the way up due to missing data above 225mb. The output MLCAPE is 4000 j/kg... it looks better than that so I assume it wasn't calculated the whole way up to the EL (wherever that is).

Not quite uncapped but close...storm near Arlington looks supercellular with a tight reflectivity gradient, nice V shape and weak convergence couplet. Bet if anything happens under this thing we'll hear about it due to its proximity to the metroplex. Baseball hail has already been reported from this storm.

EDIT: Tornado Warning now for Tarrant County which includes Arlington. Radar indicated...spotters report developing tornado. Live coverage on http://www.WFAA.com

Storm relative helicity on the Arlington/Sublette, TX storm must be very large due to the southerly storm motion. Looks like an HP cell due to the LARGE hook and expansive reflectivity field.

SPC soundings page gives 3 j/kg Tv-corrected MLCINH. My NSHARP gives 0 j/kg. Basically, it's entirely uncapped. LOL. Regardless, I haven't seen a sounding like this in the southern plains since sometime in 2004 or 2005. Strong low-level stretching will probably enhance the tornado prospects with that cell in Tarrant county with the fairly healthy 3km CAPE and low LFC heights.
