Found this on the internet. Figure I'd spread the word. Looks like it might have some nice radios in it. http://stormcsr.blogspot.com/

I could see this thing causing a controversy with its light bar and sirens...

This guy was an alright chaser. This guy recently passed away. I have seen this truck in person, it's a nice truck.

Unless the nice radios are hidden, there isn't anything fancy in it.

Why do you always have to get into this? It's always about the lightbars. Seriously, who cares? As long as people aren't using them illegally, what harm is it doing? I see vehicles every other week driving down the roads around here with amber lights going. It's only a big deal because we make it a big deal. Don't take this personal or anything, I'm not saying this in a hateful way or anything.. just get tired of hearing about lightbars and how evil they are.

No, Warren drives a black Nissan Xterra. Don't remember what he drove before the Xterra but I know it wasn't this particular vehicle.

When this truck belonged to Phil Henry he chased with Warren.

Like david said this truck was built by Phil henry who is a wizard at electronics. he holds many patents for Uniden and Cobra. Phil and I have chased together for about 10 years now. He sold the truck to a guy named Bill Blumenthal who joined our teams back in 2003 back when Phil built his famous black hummer. Bill was planning on being out this year again when he died suddenly. I had talked to him a few days before about his plans to join us. He was one of the nisest guys you would ever have met. I miss him already.
As for the truck it is a good truck. I can tell you now it isnt stock. It has a full roll cage, custom exhaust, and a supercharger under the hood!!
The lightbar is yellow lights (actually an arrow stick design. no rotators)and the siren is a PA and airhorn only. No actual siren.
$5000 is a great deal for this thing. It sounds mean as hell with its custom exhaust. If I had the cash I would buy it in a heartbeat as a backup chase vehicle. This thing has been with our team for a long time. I would love it to be bought by a true chaser.

I thought the truck looked familar.
I didn't realize that Bill was the one that died. I met Bill the same day I met Chris Hayes up in Emporia back in 2005 and chased up in that area. I was just wondering the other day if Bill would be back out on the plains this year.

Gaetean,
Faidley used to drive a black four door Explorer before he bought the Xterra, which has lovingly been christened the 'Archangel.' It's one insanely tricked out chase vehicle, that's for sure. I cringe when I think how much money Warren spent on it... but then again, when you have mulitple corporate sponsors like he does, money isn't really much of an issue, is it?
As for the Bravada, damn I wish I had $5k laying around! That's one kick ass chase truck! If I had the cash, I would for sure be writing the check this minute! I would love to have a dedicated chase vehicle like this. Maybe after college...:D

I am trying to find a way to get the $$. I just hate to see this truck leave my chase family. It has been part of my team for a decade. Not going to be easy though with chase vacation coming up. maybe a bank loan or something. I know kanani hates to see it leave. She and Bill had become very close friends.

If they cant answer any questions I know Phil can. He spent a long time and alot of $$ building this truck. It has been taken very good care of. I can guarantee it is worth every penny of that price. if I had the $$ it would already be gone. If I cant have it I want it to go to somebody who trully loves chasing and not some "yahoo" just going for looks and style.
Bill became part of our chase family when he bought the truck from Phil and he chased with us every year except for part of 20-06 when he drove for Roger Hills chase tour then he joined us for the rest of May. Whoever buys this truck will in many ways become part of our chase family by default. This truck is like an heirloom to my team..lol

Few quick questions:
How many miles does it have on it? And what kind of gas mileage does it get?
Just mildly curious...

That I cant answer. You will have to ask the seller about miles. I bet Phil can answer about the MPG since he drove it for a number of years. JUst go to his site and email him. I do know its better MPG than my explorer :)

I agree with the lights, they way i see it 1 light would be fine cause when ur pulled over on the side of the road to report thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes, etc u need to have a light to warn other people of what your doing. now if u have 3 or 4 lights then thats just to much. 1 light is enough, anyone agree with me?

I fail to see how your opinion matters on the subject. You show up out of the blue to the forum and now you are an expert? Post something constructive please.

the site says it has 165,000 miles on it incase you didnt notice...
i have a 97 GMC jimmy, and a bravada is about the same thing...blazer, jimmy bravada same thing...
you can probably count on about 13-18 miles per gallon...i dont know what it would be with the supercharger and all that equipment though...since ive never actually seen the truck...

The truck has 165,000 miles on it yes but the engine and tranny were both totally rebuilt 2 years ago. The supercharger has been removed but it does have a high performance computer chip so it still has quite a bit of horsepower but mileage is standard for a SUV (15-20 highway)
No other chaser bought the truck which was Bill's family's wish (for it to stay in chasing) so they gave the truck to me since Bill and I were so close. Except for doing some rewiring and removing thr rollcage so I can fit better it will stay mostly the same. Too bad somebody didnt buy it. Its a nice truck. I do need to work on the a/c also.
And I agree the lightbar argument is old. We have that one every year come about march with the same old crap being said on both sides. That has nothing to do with this truck being sold and why. Bill was a great chaser and a great friend and there isnt a chase that goes by I and Kanani dont think about him and miss him.
