I am having problems accessing the SPC website when I use Firefox.

Do any of you know what could be causing this problem?

I have been having the same problem, but I was able to get around it by going to the NWS Norman (www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/enhanced.php) website and clicking on their graphical link to the convective outlooks at the bottom.

I had the same issue yesterday. Interestingly, I could access it just fine in IE. I'm not sure if it's a DNS issue, but I don't think I've experienced an apparent browser incompatability issue such as this.

Yea, I'm accessing it just fine in IE, which, though not my preferred browser, is what I'll have to use for the time being.

Thanks for that trick Michael, it worked well.

Using FF 2.0.0.3 and the SPC site without issue. Is there a particular section you're having trouble with?

I was having the same problem this afternoon, after poking around, I discovered the following:

http://spc.noaa.gov is no longer registered (which is what I had bookmarked)

http://www.spc.noaa.gov still works.

I'm having problems accessing the entire site in general by directly linking to it, but I can get to it the roundabout way that Michael mentioned.

Chris,

I don't know if it's related to your problems, but we just went live with a new mirror site as of 10 am this morning:

http://w1.spc.woc.noaa.gov

The local web server address is:

http://www.spc.nssl.noaa.gov

Much of the recent trouble has been related to the load on our mirror site in Washington DC.

Thanks, Rich. The second link is working for me.
