I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website that would show surface and upper air maps before and during the event? I have already checked out Tim Marshall's report on the event but was wondering if there was a site that offered a little more indepth information. Would there also be a site where I could find the NWS's discussions during the event as well?

I tried to find level 2 data but NCDC did not have any files for that patricular date.

Hello Matt,

Plymouth State Weather Center has a great archive of weather observations, surface and aloft, going back to the 1950s! Some of the stations may be spaced a little far apart at certain levels but all in all this is a GREAT resource for studying past weather! Now if only radar was as readily available.
