Good afternoon folks,

I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to share a website or two that goes about explaining how to interpret weather models and maps. Specifically I'm looking for info on the GFS and NAM.

I read all the posts in the forecasting area and a lot of the times there are links to graphs and such. I would also like to be able to interpret hodographs as well.

I visit the SPC everyday and am somewhat familiar with some of the tools they have to offer, but there doesn't seem to be much guidance on how to interpret their tools.

If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. :p

Kind regards,

-Ben

This looks to be pretty good for someone new to forecasting. I just printed a copy myself.

http://lightningwizard.estofex.org/ConvectiveWeatherMaps.pdf (It does use Europe for the maps but the same things apply.)
