Hey gang,
I'm very unfamiliar with Flash and my experience with doing it myself is extremely limited, however there is a piece of website code I would love to have and I was wondering first of all what the name of it was and where I could find it (to customize it).. examples of this slideshow are linked below...
http://www.mlb.com
http://www.redskins.com
http://www.coloradorockies.com
http://www.nfl.com
What it is I am looking for is that slideshow link thing as I would like to do something similar for my chase front page. If anyone can point me in a direction with this, I would be a happy man as I really haven't narrowed down a Google search which isolates this particular thing as I'm not entirely sure what it's called other than flash slideshow! LOL
Thanks!!

Tony, check these out:
http://flash.dvd-photo-slideshow.com/flash-image-gallery/create_slideshow_in_flash_8.php
http://www.flashslider.com/
http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash.html
I just did a Google search of "create flash slideshow"; there's many more hits with that string.
Good luck!

Thanks John, I have found many sites similar to those... not so much the slideshow I am looking for, but what I am trying to find is something like the sites I have linked above that have the slideshows, but they're like news stories which can be linked to other pages. Its more of a navigational tool using a slideshow.

Closest I can find is SlideShare: http://www.slideshare.net/

A more simple solution might be to use javascript like I used on the front page of our website. It's not quite as fancy as flash but gets the job done and is pretty much the same concept you are looking to do.

I bet you will have to buy a program to do something like that. I made this for my webpage (http://www.realclearwx.com/bestpics.htm) using Macromedia Flash MX 2004.

Chris,
Close; what I wanted to do is something that the pictures were links to that particular item. The closest thing I can find to it is the one on www.nfl.com (http://www.nfl.com) where the slideshow rotates automatically with links to different stories. And of course, the user can manually go through the images as well.

Yeah, this script does that for sure. Let me see what the license is on it (not sure how we obtained it) and I'll get back to you.
