Hello,
Wasnt sure if this is the right section of the forum to post this, but saw a few others had so I went along with it.
My name is Michael, I currently reside in the granite city of St. Cloud, MN. Ive been watching this forum for some time now...save a few months from a lost password/email address combo...But think im going to come out of lurking and be more active in posting.
Good to see quite a number of people who enjoy weather as much as I do. Looks like many quality threads on weather and of course storm chasing. I recognize a few names on here and I am looking forward to learning more, and perhaps contributing something that others may not know/understand.
I run a website, www.thewxpage.com. its been up for some years now..which I redesigned last night to give better uniformity and ease of access. its sorta buggy in firefox, but IE handles very nicely - although there are some aspects that will be redesigned shortly. I run it with 2 of my chase partners Scott Kraushaar and Andrew Tiemann, all 3 of us were meteorology majors at one point and then decided to pursue other career paths even after 2-3 semesters of met. courses under our belts.
Our love for the weather hasn't changed, as we still all try to take some meteorology classes when we can as our schedules allow (just to learn as much as we can and hold the sanity of taking everyday boring courses..you know the ones I mean)
I have most of my personal photos at http://michael.thewxpage.com/photos.html and my weather related are in the photos section of my main site.
In closing, I know stormtrack is well rounded and respected community and I look forward to being more of a part of it.

No, not at all. I enjoy teaching other people about weather related things. I just hope it is detailed enough for you and easy to understand...I tried to make things as nicely as I could and not all abbreviations.

Bill Brasky! ... from what I've heard, you got so bored with the weather one time that you went out and made your own Cat 5 hurricane from scratch ... and then later people started calling it Katrina. Here's to Billll Brasky - - - welcome!
And a big welcome to Michael and our other ST newcomers as well. Nice to have you -

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can't find one. Finally Brasky takes me to a vacant lot and says, 'Here we are.' We sat there for a year and a half and sure enough someone constructs a bar around us. The day they opened we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burned the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, 'Always leave things the way you found em!'

I'm sure you fellas heard about the time he taught his son how to drive ... he did it by entering him in the Indy 500. The kid wrecked and died. Brasky said it would've happened sometime.
He's a real son of a gun ...

Brasky drank a full glass of liquid LSD with his eggs. Then he slept for 8 months straight. When he woke he rubbed his eyes and said, 'All in all, I prefer gin.'

I know Bill Brasky. Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Brasky decides he's going to hunt down all four of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all begged for their lives...except Fleegle. To Bill!!!

There used to be such a place on ST IIRC, but no more, so I'm guessing it was deemed a poor use of space. During the slow season, such threads are probably welcome to keep folks entertained.

Why do I get the feeling that I have missed out on a major piece of American social history?!?......
Bill Brasky?
So much for my high signal to noise ratio comment that I made in an earlier thread......;)

Bill Brasky?
You mean you don't know Bill Brasky?
Did I ever tell you about the time Bill Brasky forced me to wear a woman's bikini? Well anyway, Brasky tears off my clothes and forces me to wear this skimpy bikini. For the next three months I had to conduct my business wearing only a woman's bathing suit. I would cry from shame and question my manhood daily, but Ill be danged if at the end of the quarter my sales hadn't tripled.
He's the only man I've ever known who subscribed to Stormtrack for a day, got his permissions revoked after introducing himself ... and LOVES it. To Billlll Brasky!
