Hi,

My name is Bob. I live in Chicago, Illinois. I am facinated with weather. Been predicting winter storms and severe wx for yrs. I like to look at computer models, observations, hang out with friends, work, movies and play baseball. I am 19 yrs old. I also own a weather forum if anyone would like to check it out in my sig. I used to live in Rockford but moved when I was 5 yrs here NW of ORD. Looks like a nice weather forum. Keep it up!

Yeah! Another Chi-town person! I'm in Grayslake. I chase locally when worth it- not too often, but chase with College of DuPage from Canada to Mexico in season. Great times!
Feel free to PM me.
Laura

I am also new here... representing Geneva!!!

A little about me for everyone...

I am 22 yrs. young... I've always been fascinated by severe weather, primarily super cell thunderstorms either tornadic or non tornadic. This all dates back to when I was just little guy and the Plainfield tornado came through... I remember the track it took and while not producing a tornado physically in my "immediate" area my parents had to peel me from the back yard as I stood there in amazement of what I was seeing! I saw my first wall cloud at age 5. Since then It went from watching them at home to helping spot in my county to what has now become at times a trip all over northern and central IL. I witnessed the Utica/Granville tornado of 2004 first hand from IL Route 6 and 172 at the JC Whitney parking lot. That was my first substantial catch with devastation. That was both an amazing learning experience, but also an EYE OPENING one as well! I predicted (sounds weird) the track and time of the most recent one in my area on August 23rd which was a very destructive supercell thunderstorm. While the tornado it spawned was small and short lived, I chased it as it touched down just east of West Chicago making a north eastward track to Carol Stream. I had one of the best vantage point for the storm viewing. I chased this storm from the wall cloud formation in Dekalb County all the way to the point where the city began hampering my view (ended in Carol Stream).

I signed up here because I am looking for people to gain knowledge from and possibly some local chase buddies from my immediate area I can meet up with when the "weather" feels right. :D Soo... let me end with HI EVERYONE!!!
