01/3/08 REPORTS: Lake Ontario

This morning there was great potential for steam devils on the Great Lakes. The air temp in Toronto was about -17C which is the threshold for good steam formation. I was up and out the door pre-dawn and was not let down. There were dozens of them, often two or three at a time, all dancing around each other.

Once the sun came up fully and the temps started to rise, the show was over. But what a show it was.
