There is a new NWR transmitter in South Central Kansas. It serves parts of WFOs DDC, ICT and OUN. This should greatly improve coverage in an area that was in between other transmitters and just in time for severe weather/ chase season in this part of the world. More detailed info is in a PNS issued by ICT this weekend. Just an FYI since severe wx may occur today and Wednesday.

SWEEEEEET :D
It's always good to hear of new transmitters being set up in places where radar coverage has been somewhat distant, like like you have mentioned, Chris, the more detailed data there is available, the better for both chasers and forecasters :)

Willie - this doesn't add new data or assist with radar coverage... NOAA Weather Radios are used for sending forecast, watches, warnings and the like. It's not a forecasting tool.

I goofed, I was thinking of different radars :) lol, I happily stand corrected :)
I'm having one of those odd days where I'm just not with it, oh well, I am human after all :)
Willie (Going back into hybernation till tomorrow :) lol)
