I noticed late last night and again today that I am not getting any vehicle or house icons. The map and other functions (storm reports) are working.
Currently, (4:30 EDT), I am only showing one vehicle, wx3i when I know many are out chasing. In the right hand corner, it does show "map loading please wait" but nothing else loads. I am getting this on both my home and office computer. Anybody else having similar problems?

I began having problems with it last night while chasing. The SN thing would say it was updating fine, but it wouldn't show on GR3.

I am having the same issue also. Except I am getting a different spotter, COALEM. I tried clearing my temp files and cookies but that didn't work. Seems like it is a problem on AllisonHouse's end.

I often have a problem with GRLevel3's placefile disappearing on screen... not sure why this happens, but it does. That would be nice to figure out.
But I think a lot of the problem is SN recently changed their privacy preferences and defaulted a lot of people. I had to change my preferences yesterday as I saw I wasn't showing up either. Turns out they're creating groups to which you can show as little/much info to selected groups (NWS, media, general public, registered users). I bet most people haven't seen or done this yet. This may be why you're seeing odd names and off-ended information if you see anything at all.

If you had a customized SN link - that went away. Go to the site, go to the national display, and you'll see a new URL for the general locations.

Five of us in our spotter netwotk have had the same problem. I had it on three computers.
Solution:
Go to the Spotter network;
http://www.spotternetwork.org/
Select "National Activity" on the top panel
Under Alternative Feeds
Copy the GRLeveIX URL (or use this one)
http://www.spotternetwork.org/feeds/grlevelx.txt
Open the placefile manager in the GR product
Delete the old spotter network URL (it is probably hilighted red) by highlighting the url and deleteing it.
Create a new placefile entry with the copied URL...
The little cars and houses should reappear when you reconnect.
I had two instances of GRL3 running the first time I tried it and it didn't take...

This was due to me working on getting the SevereStudios integration working. Things should be working again.

Joe, thanks for the GR level 3 info. I did your advice and it is working great on that platform. Unfortunately, I am still not getting any houses or cars on the main link:

Fixed it Bill. Someone was getting creative with the characters in their last name that broke the XML format google wants

On the settings page I seem unable to set pop ups or automatically approve watchers. How do I set these?

that's not enabled yet. It's just a place holder so I could test the user interface layout

I am having the problem described above on multiple computers.
From: http://www.spotternetwork.org/google.php, I am seeing reports but no chasers or homes (cars or houses).
On the right hand side of the screen, I get a message saying: " ... map loading, please wait" I've had the window open for quite a while and have done numerous browser refreshes.
I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14
Not complaining ... love the spotter network website! I appreciate all the hard work put into it.
Thanks.

Got it! It was only broken for people _NOT_ logged in. Should be fixed now.
Thanks for the heads up!
