Anyone know any way, the best way, and/or the cheapest way to convert RF to composite?

Cheapest? Go old school. Dig the VCR out of your attic. Hook up the RF to the Antenna In, then use the AV out.

Yep, you need a tuner of some sort. Another possibility is some cable converters; look for one with composite outputs on it.

I may be calling it the wrong thing. It was what the station engineer called it (rf )but maybe that's not right.
after looking up the specs on my camera (myself!) the video out type is BNC Composite Video.
edit:
and after some searching with the correct name I believe I found it:

Yep, that will work. You can also walk into a Radio Shack and find one of these: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102688 ; the only difference is that your version is also a cable. Just depends on what way you want to go.

That's it... You will be fine with the adapters John noted, that's what I used to get video into the TV decks before our new ones with Firewire built in.
