Just to kick things off a bit, here is something from the grab bag for March 28, 1988.

Young cumulunimbus cloud developing near Vernon, Texas near a triple-point intersection between a cold front and dryline.

Looking to the north, a supercell near Mustang OK was producing rain-wrapped tornadoes southwest of Oklahoma City.

Near Lawton the storm developed a solid precip area but the updraft looked kind of starved, so we dropped south.

This shot was after dusk and the contrast is artificially maxed out. But it does reveal this southern storm had a well-organized updraft base and probably something going on underneath it. Unfortunately it was in a poor road network southeast of Lawton and late March daylight had taken its toll on navigation. We had to settle for a lightning show near Comanche.
Was anyone else out there on this drought-year chase date? Any stories to share?
