I am interested in setting up a weather-related webcam on top of a 27 story building. I am specifically looking for a camera that has a 360° pan with decent tilt options that can be operated from a remote computer, good zoom, decent megapixel, and an IR mode for nighttime viewing. This way I have control on what the camera "sees" when storms approach town, and with decent quality.

I have been doing some digging around but there are many folks here that know more about this than I do so I appreciate any opinions. My budget for this is not solidified yet so I'll entertain a variety options.

Thanks for any info!

I work in the CCTV and perimeter security industry.

www.supercircuits.com is where you need to look. They'll have everything set up in a package to get you started.

I use a Sony 25N webcam and a dotworkz d2 dome and it works great

What is the cost you are willing to pay. I know of a company that is based out of Florida that builds remote cameras, but they cost a lot, sometimes up to a couple grand. I'll have to find the company, but I know I have saved the name someplace. They did a lot of the cameras for the hotels and such on South Beach.
