View Full Version : 5/16/09 Reports (sort of): MD (not a chase)

I didn't chase so this technically shouldn't go in the target area, but figured I'd post a photo from tonight's weak (by the ST standards), bow echo line from earlier this evening. The shelf cloud was of a decent size, but was rather soft looking. It appears even more soft in the photo because of the 2 second (or more) exposure, but the actual appearance wasn't that much better. But it was nice to see something locally. With the ridge out west, I might be seeing more activity locally.

This shot was taken from the Shady Grove Metro parking deck in Rockville, Maryland. Looking west-southwest here.

Revised original post with location. I may add a photo or two...it's like it's some great supercell that deserved a ton of photos.
