Does anyone have an extra oem Dell ac adapter that they would be willing to sell. Mine is fried and I would like to avoid paying the high price from Dell and am a bit leary of the aftermarket cheapos on Ebay.
Thanks in advance...

Clarence, you can pick up a Dell brand AC adapter on Ebay for much cheaper than the Dell website. Make sure its a Dell make though. The generic ones cause static build up and power fluctuations.

Discount Electronics in Austin has many Dell new and refurburshed parts including power adapters. I have purchased a lot of stuff from them and have been very happy with the items. The prices are much less than Dell direct.
They have a web site at:

The Dell items at Discount Electronics are usually Dell products that are no longer in production, off lease or refurbished. Most of the computers that I have seen are off lease. The hard drives will have a new operating system installed along with the freebie MS Office look-alike stuff. The operating system will probably be XA or 2000.
They also have a lot of LCD monitors. I replaced all of my CRTs with their LCDs. (I run about ten computers doing various weather and amateur radio functions.)
I could not find anyone that wanted the old CRTs.
They also have some limited Apple items that I can not evaluate since I know nothing about the product line.
Their laptops are older and thus do not have the glossy screens that are awful in an outside environment. In a car, the glossy screens make a good rear view mirror.
