Doug is alive and well and siad that the big easy is severely damaged.

Here in mobile we got some 95-100 mph gusts that knocked us off our feet. teh roof on this place im in is making noise.

...the reports from Plaquemines parish (where Katrina made second landfall) will be fully seen? That area, praise God, isn't as populated as south Dade, FL, but I don't like the thought of what we're going to see.

Wonder if there's anything left of Pilottown, Louisiana (about as low on the Mississippi as one can get, and the subject of a National Geographic story a few years back: (http://natstone.net/1A/page3.shtml)
