St. Plaquemines Parish: Still there

OK, so we've heard from the supposed "worst hit" areas of Gulfport and Bay STL, but still no pictures or reports from Plaquemines Parish, aka the Mississippi River.

edit: thats supposed to be Mississippi River delta.

Just saw a satellite picture of the Parish and the only land visible on that long arm of land is right next to the river. The fact that I could see the damage on a satellite image is not a good sign.

thankfully, virtually all of the development in Plaquemines parish is in that little spit of land near the Mississip. I would imagine grand Isle now lays at the bottom of the ocean.

It's being said that Grand Isle survived...some homes destroyed, some with severe roof damage, some with seemingly little damage at all.
