How bogus is this? Thanks Florida State!! Hopefully Bob Hart and his crew will be able to get this site back online. It was great.

From FSU Website:
"Notice: Florida State University has mandated effective 24 May 2006 that no real-time weather forecasts relating potentially
in any way to hurricanes are to be disseminated by faculty or students at FSU due to liability concerns.
Consequently, this web page has been shut down UFN.

The authors of these web pages realize the value of these pages, do not agree with the decision, and are working hard to resolve this issue by friday.

Thank you for your patience.

Bob Hart"

There already is a topic on this subject. http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=11427 I do agree that they are being overly cautious at FSU. Can't they just put a notice up on their site relieving them of liability? You know, like a "We are not liable for property loss or personal injury in the event that a forecast is not correct and blah blah blah....."

As Bart noted, there is a topic covering this -- see Don't want to get sued (http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=11427).
