Hello,

Look what I've found about the tornado which occured today in Kiustendil, Bulgaria:

"Kiustendil. In the area of village Bobeshino in county Kiustendil around 6:30 UTC today 2 June 2006 raged severe storm. Showers with strong winds, uprooted trees, which blocked the mayoral building. There are fallen tiles from the roofs. The road from village Donlo Selo to village Bobeshino e blocked from fallen trees. In the area of the disasters work teams from "Civil defence" from Kiustendil and from the county to cutting and cleaning of the trees."

in Bulgarian:

I don't see anything in your translation indicating that the damage was caused by a tornado (as opposed to straight winds). However, this short piece (http://www.bgnewsnet.com/story.php?lang=en&sid=21469) does mention a tornado as being the cause of the damage. Bulgarian newspapers available online in English (http://www.abyznewslinks.com/bulga.htm) don't seem to give a lot of details on the weather, for some reason. :)

Hey Angel, interesting article. How do you write "tornado" in Bulgarian? Is it "торнедо" or something like that-- or do you have a totally different word for it? :)

Just curious, where is Kiustendil in relation to Елин Пелин?
