Good evening,
At 5 pm, on sunday, a very nice small tornado occured in Belgium. Although it sometimes happens, such a nice tornado is not that common over Europe. This picture was taken by Frank and Karel Holvoet from Belgium

There's a small compilation of this event here, with a link to a video :

Beautiful tornado Christophe....well done capturing it, at such an intense scene and moment. The sun providing the extra hue adds a lot to it, I believe.
I hope you do not mind me posting this image, but if you go to the site link he posted, it takes you to others accounts, and it appears, there was damage, here is one photo that is very bad looking.

Hey Christophe, for me this tornado doesn't look that small and such tornadoes are probably more common in Europe than people usually think!
Of course, chasing in Europe is hell because of mountains, lack of radar data, trafic jam, toll ways (in France and Italy) and expensive gas prices...
I wish we had something like the Mobilethreatnet in Europe!

As clearly mentioned in all the forums, this picture was taken by Frank and Karel Holvoet from Belgium. I just see I forgot to mention it in this topic the last night (it was late, it's true...), sorry for that. By the way, I wish I had the opportunity to capture it myself, but I live far away from Belgium, close to Geneva !
Dean, I'm afraid I don't see here something like "Tornado Alley". Such phenomenons are quite unpredictable over Europe, although you showed me nice areas like northern Italy where supercells sometimes occurs ;)

if you mean it doesn't look like a wedge... ok.
Actually this tornado is not much different from what I saw in Tornado Alley two years ago. I'd say it's just a "normal" size tornado.
