You have reached the new server
This confirms the DNS nameserver change has reached your ISP and you are now at the new Stormtrack server location. We changed servers yesterday to try to improve server stability and management. Please be aware that a few plugins, including the front page, will not be operational for a few days. We will gradually get these turned back on. -- Tim Vasquez
Change your passwords!
As some of you may be aware, Adobe had a major security breach in October and about 153 million Adobe accounts were exposed. We've found that many individuals in our weather community are in this file, which is publicly accessible. The passwords are encrypted and cannot be decoded in their current form, however they are symmetric and insecure passwords can easily be matched up with other insecure passwords and identified by all of the user-written password hints. So if you aren't following good password practices and have used Adobe products, you are likely vulnerable.
This is NOT a Stormtrack security breach, but if you are using the same password here that you used on Adobe, your account could be compromised here by a spammer or anyone with malicious intent. It's likely that the passwords are gradually being catalogued in this file and spammers may attempt logins with them on various sites. Unless you are already following good password security practices, you can easily fix this by changing your password on ALL sites you frequent, including here. If you're already using strong passwords, you're safe and there's nothing to worry about! We want to keep you safe as well as keep the spam off of Stormtrack, and fortunately the fix is simple.
