Stormtrack has existed for 31 years and relies on the highest possible level of discussion quality. Therefore we currently do not accept open signups and we screen all applications. To apply, send an email to: applications@stormtrack.org.

You will need to include your real name, desired password, and a personal introduction explaining who you are and why you want to join Stormtrack. Preferential treatment is always given to meteorological faculty members and those applying from a noaa.gov or afwa.mil address.

Applications go into an application pool and are handpicked. This may take days to weeks. If you have not been picked, it simply means that no one feels comfortable vouching for you or that no one has had a chance to do so. Complaints and requests for your status will be discarded as this is a pool, not a processing queue, and no particular individual is responsible for handling the contents of the pool. If and when you are picked, you will get an email from your sponsor with your username and password.
