I haven't shed a single cup since they changed the design of them. Yes I try to avoid having it up when on the freeway, but I leave it on when on state and county roads all the time and haven't had a problem. As far as calibrating it, the directions are all on their website. When my battery died, I recalibrated and all seems fine. I trust the speeds on it given driving speeds, etc.

So, yeah, no problems here for the last couple years.

Are you sure that you had the anemometer totally out of the slip stream of the vehicle?

It's still accurate as the day I got it. When I changed the battery I had to email Inspeed to find out what model code to program in the calibration.

I love my Inspeed.
The mags are starting to rust though.

I had one for 2007 and lost 2 cup's in one week , sold it and got a Davis Weather Wizard 3. I leave it up in the spring and only lost cup's once after hitting a down power line in Lone Grove.
