Yet another tropical cyclone in a continuing pattern.
Interesting, the 18z GFS has finally picked up the system. Around 300+ hours the storm is swept away by a strong trough, in a pattern similar to Earl. We will see if the fortunate trough timing continues.

I have heard Earl will stay out in the Atlantic, but the path I see today is bringing it in. Is it supposed to veer sharply north/northeast after August 31?

I received a call from my dad and he said he had a trucking buddy out just North of Ringwood, OK and he was talking about a wall of sand 10 miles wide? It looks like what is seeing could be real.

CAT3+ Cape Verdi Hurricane to form soon |

Surprised that there has been no mention of this??
It is late August (bang on time) and most Global models are in agrement and are adiment that a hurricane will form down by the Cape virdi islands and track NNW, model forcasts then suggest that this will transform into a Majour CAT3+– don’t discount this as the shear does seem to be quite relaxed so who know?

There are a couple of strong cells in Barton Co., Kansas. The storm closer to Great Bend is showing a little rotation with VILS above 70. It is also a right mover.
